What is the MyWIN Academy?

MyWIN is a company limited by guarantee established by the Prime Minister’s Department. MyWIN was approved by the Malaysian Cabinet in January 2014 as an avant­-garde institution that drives transformative innovation to empower women in leadership and entrepreneurship. It aims to unleash innovative power of women through the ‘Educating, Inspiring and Connecting’ approach. MyWIN intends to pull together the strength, wisdom and talent of Malaysian women with the objective of creating a new innovation ecosystem.

Why women?

Women represent nearly 53 percent of our nation’s labour force. While this group of women are a valuable entrepreneurial resource to the nation, their talent and abilities are not being fully utilized. Increasing women’s participation will provide an answer to Malaysia’s development challenges and is supportive of the country’s transformation agenda in every facet of socioeconomic development.

Are men totally excluded from your programmes?

No. In fact, men are integral to the development and success of women. Their contribution can come in the form of partnerships, mentoring, experiential learning and networking. The participation of men is of equal importance to enable the advocacy of women development and advancement.

Does the Academy offer degree courses?

No. MyWIN exists in the marketplace essentially as a platform for learning, sharing of experiences and best practices. The programs/courses offered by MyWIN Academy are customized to fit into current demands and needs with emphasis on mindset change. However, MyWIN Academy offer competency-based professional and executive programs to complement conventional education.

Does MyWIN certify programme participants?

At the moment all participants who walk through the corridors of MyWIN Academy will be certified by the academy. MyWIN Academy will be moving forward towards globally recognized certification.

How much do the programmes cost?

At the moment all courses and programs offered by MyWIN Academy is fully sponsored.

Where is your campus?

MyWIN currently resides at the Public Services Training Institute (INTAN) Bukit Kiara Campus in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur. This gives the academy access to the facilities of Malaysia’s premier civil service training institute that caters for the needs of both Malaysians and regional participants.

Does MyWIN offer grants or financial assistance?
